Dr. Georg Rihs

Dr. Georg Rihs is the founder of RIHS Rechtsanwalt and focuses exclusively on public law. He is widely recognized as one of Austria’s leading experts in this field.
For nearly 20 years, he has advised and represented companies, institutions, and private individuals in complex matters of constitutional, administrative, and public procurement law.
His areas of expertise include:

In addition to his legal practice, Dr. Rihs has a strong academic background. He served as a university assistant at the Institute for Constitutional and Administrative Law at the University of Vienna under Univ.-Prof. Dr. Rudolf Thienel, now President of the Austrian Administrative Court.
He earned his doctorate with a thesis on the liberalization of infrastructure networks from a European, constitutional, and administrative law perspective. He is also the author of numerous academic publications in public law.

Dr. Rihs specialized in public law early in his career, including during his time as a trainee attorney in Vienna and Lower Austria. He was admitted to the bar in 2011 and founded his own law firm in Vienna the same year.
He studied law at the University of Vienna and at Leiden University (Netherlands).
